Tavsif

Bir er nikohidagi bir necha xotin (bir-biriga nisbatan).

Description

A kundosh is part of a presumably wealthy man's bevy of brides. The literal translation is "day companion" — "Kun" meaning day, "dosh" meaning someone who shares a status or situation with you.

Misol(lar)

Eri ming yaxshi bo‘lsin, baribir kundosh kundashligini qila beradir. Mashoyixlar bilmasdan «kundosh» demaganlar.

Manba: Abdulla Qodiriy, O'tkan kunlar

Otabek Kumush aytkandek kundosh, ya’ni Zaynabdan uncha qo‘rqmasa ham, ammo dardning eng davosizi bo‘lg‘an onasi to‘g‘risida yuragi titradi.

Example(s)

Though her husband is a righteous man a hundred times over, a kundosh will act like a kundosh. There is a reason why old people warn against the kundosh.

Manba: Abdulla Qadiriy, Bygone days
